Nice looking truck! Where did you purchase the aftermarket grille? Is it a chrome plated one that you painted over, or do they sell one bare plastic ready to paint? I've got a Banks intercooler on order, should be here any day now, and it looks like I will have to do a lot of cutting to the stock 89 grille in order to install the intercooler. Did you have to modify the aftermarket grille in order to install the intercooler?

I got the grille from a third paty parts supplier; found him in the yellow pages under auto body parts. It has no indentations for the "dodge" letters, and was painte, not chromed. I got the rubstrip from a auto paint supply house. Catalog showed it with chrome stripe, but they oredered it with red stripe.

I got my aftermarket 'paint to match' grill from Certifit. No raised DODGE letters either. They are nationwide, also have a website. Will paint it when I paint my truck later this month.

I assumed you removed the old moulding and then applied the new rubstrips, after painting, with doublesided tape.....

That's right. I had to grind down and fill the pegs and holes that held the original molding. The orinal clearance light worked fine without the molding. Externally, all I lack now is making my louvered tailgate. But I've got to build a corale, lean-to, tack room, feed room, and fence first. Wife got a horse!
