Pictures for cowl air to BHAF or stock air box.

#1 Is of the hole I added in the fender well and the foam sealer in the fenderwell to keep the air from passing the fender outlet.

#2 BHAF & heat shield.

#3 BHAF & 4 1/2" hole in cowl.

#4 BHAF with prefilter the turbo shield is not installed as I want to retighten the bolts after a few heat cycles.

#5 Stock air box with the 4" flex hose connected to the air box and the hole in the cowl.

#6 Shows the 4 1/2" hole in the air boc and the 4" connector hose.

Good work. The heat shield and foam seal was one of my first thoughts on how to provide the BHAF with lots of cool air. Just curious if you have any numbers on EGTs with and without the shield and seal in place.

I am looking at going back to the stock air box with a hole in the cowl. illflem did this with the big shop vac hose. What type of 4" hose did u use? I didn't think there was enough room in the air box for that big of a hole. Thanks for the pics.

good concept, you are right in line for a propper set-up, keeping the hot air from the turbo away from the airbox is paramount, I am currently working on a set-up similar to this but offers a new totally different concept, different from anything on the market now. I would reveal more but I have a few plastic fabricators looking at the system for possible mass production, we are having a hard time finding someone to market it though, I am not going to file for a pattient but simply want someone to take over the project and use my prototype as a pattern... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . Guess no companys want to make a buck

I used 4" flex hose you can get from Home Depot or from McMaster Carr, the hose has an I. D. of 4" and an O. D. of about 4 1/2"

Whitmore why not try Genos Garage?

With the stock air box I could pull a 10 in just one decent run, after adding the cowl air the filter minder never moved and I did nothing to the K&N filter. this setup dropped my EGTs about 100 degrees. Adding the BHAF was more for the better filtration than for the EGTs. :p :D :D
