Where did you get the green "condoms" for the pillar lights? The supplied white light in the gauges is the only thing I do not like about my pillar set up. I also have them tied to the dimmer switch circuit.

I think I got them with the Autometer gauges. . Maybe check where you get Gauges. . some Auto parts places have them. . maybe look at Autometer places or accessories places.

When the green condoms are on they help the night time visibility

Here's a dual pillar from Genos and a tripple dash pod. I'm not sure where the dash pod is from but I can find out. Dash pods for second gens are getting hard to find anymore. The green bulb covers match my dash light perfect. Don't bother with the blue covers, they're too dim to see at night. I wired the lights into the wire in the back of my fuse box for the dash lights so they all dim together.

iirc = "if i recall" i think... that's what i used it for anyway. the first time i've used it, i just figured it out from other folks posts.



i don't think there is a dual column pod for the 2nd gens. there are some digital setups that would fit at the column. i had a juice w/attitude monitor there and liked it on my 99.

One 60psi is drive pressure (in exhaust manifold), one 60psi is boost pressure, the 35psi is pressure in the cold pipe (between primary and secondary turbo). It all helps to keep an eye on what's happening with the twins.

Thanks for the info.

I looked it up, and here is the link to the bulb covers, if anyone wants to eliminate the glare of white light.

I have westach gauges and want to see if they have the same, or an I use the autometer bulb covers on the westach gauges.

I have a long piece of copper tubing connected to the exhaust manifold and wound up in a coil, then run over to a cooler area where it connects to the plastic tube. The end stays cool enough not to melt the plastic tubing. There's also a small brass snubber valve inline to dampen the pulses in the exhaust manifold.

Pillar Gauge Mount

Just a quick question on the topic. I have the 2 gauge pillar mount and although I have the bolt at the top secured tight, the bottom rattles if I'm on a rough road. Anyone have a solution to this?

Howzabout a dab or two of clear silicone caulking at the base of the pod while you are assembling it??

Thanks. Right now I'm trying strips of adhesive backed foam. If I can get them in the right spots, it might work, otherwise, I'll try your idea.

I tried a pillar mounting at first, but it felt too "In my face"... It also was difficult to change my focus from that close to my face, then back to the road.



I went to this pod set up and I like it. it is far enough away that it is not hard to focus on quickly when you take your eyes off the road for a sec to scan them, but it is not too far away so it makes it difficult to read them. (the pics make them seem kind of far away and harder to read than they really are).

I used the A-pillar with 2 pods (egt and boost) we put the geen covers on the bulbs. By accident I put the boost gauge on the bottom which is further away the egt gauge on top which of course is closer. The egt gauge is dimmer then the boost gauge so every thing worked out OK. Don't notice that they are there unless I look at them.



Since the ST model doesn't have a light at the ashtray we hooked into the light wire for the AC/Heater controls. Lights dim and brighten just fine.
