Competition diesel drags in GA

OK guys here you go... pictures I took at MIR... I was there... but the wife and son were along and they were not having fun:-{} (to say the least)... she says I'm such a redneck... SO I DECIDED TO STAY IN STEALTH MODE... heck I didn't even bring my truck... so I've learned my lesson... next time the wife stays home so I can socialize with the boys and maybe make a few runs down the strip:D

Stacks were sweet !

Snowman... yes the stacks were sweet. My favorites were probably Eric's... just above cab height and what looked like 6" diameter... very nice... all of them were sharp !

Great pics, except the one where I look grouchy:(

Don't think I don't remember who you are though. I was behind you in the food line. ;)

I ran 13. 08 (first run of course) 12. 989@101. 19 (. 576 r/t) 12. 987@101. 19 (. 505 r/t) and then red light . 480

Track was slick, they made us go through the water:mad: and I spun all four tires on every launch:eek:

My last two runs where 30psi boost launches:D I wasn't watching that as much as I was concentrating on my RPMs at launch, but I had my SPA boost light coming on at 30psi so I would know.

Overall, I'm pleased about the trucks performance and surprised that the shafts held with those launches. Transmission performed flawlessly, now if I can just tune in the reaction times.

oops I almost forgot

These runs were ran at below sea level. So 12. 986 at 1000ft elev and a 12. 987 at -30ft elev. Hummmmmmmm;) :D

congrats eric.

i'm glad to see you got into the 12's. what were your 60' and 1/8 mile. i only have a 1/8 track here. looking forward to muncie.

jim

Eric...sorry I missed you in line...

I just wasn't in the mood to deal... I know once I started talking it wouldn't stop... I would have never heard the end of it from my wife... I felt bad, but what could I do... she is still #1 and always will be...

Muncie will be different... hopefully there will be things for the women to do... or at least they'll have each other to talk to...

Jeff

P. S. My son loved your truck... he said his favorite was the really fast one... we know who that was!!:D :D

The best kind of fan to have IMO... .

You just helped me come up with an idea for the wives. More to come on that one.

Andrew- Better not let the girl see this. ;)

Eric, all i can say is YOU THE MAN!!!!! that thing fly's...

glad to have met you. (I had the only garnet and silver truck there) keep up the awsome work. look fwd. to running in to you again.

Scott ( Proram) MDTDR

Is That all you can do????

Eric glad to see the numbers, make me :D big. And by the way are they still having the trucks at the chrysler classic at tri state??

hope to see 12. 80's soon or lowerOo. Oo. Justin

Actually Justin I ran a 12. 986@102. 6 last test and tune in Muncie. Of course we are running the chrysler classic. I will have to check with that promoter again to see what we need to do.

Awsome numbers Eric...

... makes my 16's seem pathetic. I ran a constant 16. 3 on all of my time trials and did get my reaction time under a second acouple of times;) . But I broke out (15. 97) during the first round of eliminations. Of course the girl in the other lane was flashing me:--) breaking my concentration;) . I think I tried too hard to chase the guy down. But I did knock almost a half a second off of my time. I need to get my shifting technique down a little better also... . Doug

Doug, at least you got better numbers than me. I only ran a 16. 64 with a reaction time of . 737. And I red-lighted in the second round. How about that girl in the truck trying to flash you? They did the same thing to me, I ignored it. Low-class, in my opinion. But still funny. :D

With DD3's, and a Powermax3 Competition with a re-program, You'd think I could do better. The Hx40 turbo, in any version, seems ill-suited to a manual transmission truck in drag racing. It pulls hard, though, I believe it's best application is in sled or RV pulling.

Can't wait to hammer the mountains pulling my travel trailer this year. :)

Cool

Eric,

Glad to read them numbers. That auto has brought u down the times are looking awsome. Just weight till u get this auto down wow. . Me and some guys at work are going down to the chrysler classic, they never seen real trucks race there are looking foured to it. by the way how is changing those wheels all the time ??? Are you as good as NASCAR heheehe Justin
