Could someone direct me to some good pictures of the P-pump mounted to the engine? I picked up a P-pump that I am going to swap onto my 1st genner, and need to see pictures of how everything fits ect... Including the trans kickdown cable, and delivery fuel lines support brackets ect... Thanks in advance Murfman

Not so patiently waiting for some REAL cummins power Oo. :--)

its pretty self explanitorry. the pump mounts to the p-pump housing (gear housing that is for p-pump). lines come from cummins, sheids diesel, diesel dynamics(i think), or from cummins wrecking yard. inlet fuel hooks to the drivers side, inlet oil hooks to passenger side in the middle, oil flows out through the front and into gear case, fuels fuels out passenger side in front. need to get passing gear hook up from wrecking yard, also need fuel shut off solenoid. its a real job. gotta pull the cam, change gear housing, injection lines, shim the injectors for higher pop off pressure, get p-pump gear, fun, fun, fun.

I am swapping to a late cyl. head, and 370's. I have the pump, gearhousing, gear lines ect... It looks like there was a support of some type on the bottom of the pump towards the rear. Also where does the oil line come from on the block? I am going to order a cam from piers, mine as well, its gonna be out anyway. I dropped the head off at a local Cyl. head porter yesterday:D I am also going with an ATS manifold. I also would like to see how the throttle cable mounts, I have the bracket, just need to see how everything goes! This is one big (and Expensive!) puzzle Thanks again Murfman

I can send you a picture, but it aint gonna help much.

1 Mine is a 5 speed.

2 The 2nd gen rams have very little room in that area, you aint going to see the linkage at all in a picture.

I think you'd much better off with a shop manual.

Let me know.

Eric

murfman,

I'll send you some pictures, I'm finishing up with a '96 into a '90. The only thing is it's a 5 spd and I haven't tackled the throttle yet... . boy is it tight in there!
