Another benefit I found is that the gov spring kit keeps the auto trans in each gear a little longer. Mine was making the 1-2 shift way too quick and the 2-3 shift a little quicker than I liked. Now it is just right.

That's what I'm thinking with my friends auto. Instead of bringing the stall speed down to the engine revs, I'll take the revs up to the stall speed. Ordered a 3K kit for him today. Let ya know how it works. I'm going to push the plate up a bit too. Just to give him a smile.
