Anyways they came today (MMmmmmmm Claaaammmmmppppsss, Boooootttttssss) Anyways they are thick as ... . well my head. Quality units indeed however anyone toss a set on their rigs yet? They look as if they are the Exact size and look as if they juuuust may be tough to get on once my piping connections are squeaky cleen (Alcohol works wonders for getting oily residue off) Any input johny # 5?

Just swapped e-mails with Mark at PDR today. Calling tomorrow to include new boots along with the gauges that I have already ordered. Price was definitely not as much as I had feared!

Toolman, those boots are SWEET! I already had the Banks silicone hump hoses, so I just got the intercooler boots. Installed them a couple of months ago. I had to unbutton everything from the intercooler back to get the boots installed, man, they are as tough as saddlebag leather! You're gonna love 'em

yeah my head's been in the walls at home (building new shop , and meggin' wires from a electrical disaster)as of late so I had no Idea theese were floating arround.





That's it I need a CTD Agent! to keep me in check with this stuff.

They are less than half of the price the dealer charges for the factory boot. I priced one the other day and the dealer wanted $140. 00 each for the lower intercooler boot. Cummins wasn't much lower.



If your thinking about a set, they would be the way to go.

They are a tight fit, I was glad to have an extra set of hands to help with the pushing and tugging to get them on. Have had no problems in 8000 miles now, mostly towing. Previously seemed to blow a hose every time I took the 5er out.

I ended up lubricating them so I could slide them around to located the best fit. Then I marked everything up just like when your working with PVC pipe and don't want to mess the alignment. I cleaned the hoses and put everything in but they are a bear. I replaced the drivers side intake pipe with a piece of stainless with no ribbed ends like the stock one. No blow out yet with ~38lbs of boost. You might want to have a spare o-ring for the cast pipe off the turbo. I had removed mine to do the install. If it has some miles, the o-ring will be cooked.

Well me and a HUGE thanks to BreaksEverything we fought them on! Man oh man what a tight fit! Now that I don't have my schredded IC boots on the rig anymore I picked up 8 lbs of boost and the turbo seems to spool faster on full tilt (Guessing that this is due to the new hoses NOT expanding at ALL Vs the hump hoses balooning)



One thing that would be helpfull PDR Crew would be to have a tick mark molded on the 45* hoses at the dead center bottom that matches the seam on the Inter cooler so placement is easier in one shot being theese are tight hoses! Great looking Product and well worth the $$'s in my book.



WHILE YOU ARE UNDER THERE Bash the daylights out of your fenders to get the jagged edge of the sheet metal AWAY from the lower boots!!!!!! (Youl be glad you do!)

I told you what to do. Grease those suckers up, line them up, mark them, clean em', reinstall and your good to go. Hey, it was a tough fight but you won and don't they look good?

Yeah I know you did, But I was so inthrolled with getting the truck apart to put em on I forgot to pick up some stuff.

I'm telling ya ... . HAIR SPRAY works great... lubes them on and drys with glue action to help hold them on... . did that with Brandons rig at Hilmar pulls and it only took a couple min. to get them on..... course I did the extra thumbs thing and mostly watched LOL

A ***** to get on but worth it in the end. I am also using Banks hump hoses but I think they are going to have to go also.
