I just went out and did this and didn't notice any difference at all. My slider went all the way under my plate, solenoid up or down. The PO must never have made any adjustment when he added the fuel plate. Still, despite how far off it was, no difference in performance. Sure was a PITA though! :(

I agree on the PITA!!!!!!!!!!! I did mine so the little piece hit the plate with the solenoid UP, in the on position. That seemed to make the most sence to me, seeing as that is how it is when it is running. Well, it helped!! Low end is smokier than ever, and top end is also improved. I gained a couple of pounds of boost on top. :D :D Oo. What a PITA!!!

If you think thats a PITA try putting that little adjustment screw back in after unscrewing it too far, right Cord?

I thought about that!! I would be totally :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ if I did that!!! I am sure glad that didn't happen. I had to adjust it pretty far to make it hit my plate with it all the way forward and the shut off solenoid up.  :--)

It's not that bad

Just move the throttle forward till the Gov arm comes into view with the plate removed, then wedge your finder in there to hold it and with the screw in a piece of rubber hole thread it in making sure you have several threads on it prior to locking the bolt down, took a bit to figure that out and the best way to attack it.
