Pigeon Forge in April

What is going on with the Pigeon Forge Tenn.
SETDR/GLTDR outing ??? Is it going to happen or not?? The dates I have found are April 25-29. I LOVE driving my truck but to drive 8 hours for nothing maybe a little much for me.
Will it be "Good ole boys" doing there own thing like in Nov. or will it be different??
What events are planned out?? as in schulded events are there ??
If I don't hear anything then I will drive about 12 hours to MUNCIE IN. in June. From the write up in the TDR they have a bunch of things in the works.

What is the schedule for the 5 days? Will there be events like some I read about in the TDR or what??

Depending on what is going on may help me make up my mind on when to get there. I need to know so I can make the reservation for the campground. Thanks

The plan is for it to be more of a family type get together. We'll have different activities planned that you can participate in or not, your choice. I'm planning on organizing a trip to fly away ( http://www.flyawayindoorskydiving.com/ ) - it's an indoor vertical wind tunnel where you can skydive indoors! I was also going to plan some sight seeing trips, like to a local cave and probably Cades Cove (sp?). Of course lots of diesel talk in the campground, etc. A guy from the Chevy site is supposed to bring his duramax down one of the days so we can do some comparisons. I'm sure there will be some installs happening there too - there always is when we get together! If you're looking more for an all out diesel power fest then Muncie will be the place to be.

The Pigion Forge event is set up to be primarially a camping get together. Like Steve said though, there is lots of things to do there, but I forsee lots of playing it by the ear, that's the kind of group we at the SETDR are.
There is info on both the GLTDR and the SETDR sites.
