Pillar gage pod painting

Just recieved my gages and 3 gage pillar pod from Diesel Dynamics and was going to paint it to match the interior. Before I paint the new pillar is there any prep needed for the new plastic.

By the way I'm a new member and this site has given me some great info on solving problems with my truck.

Haven't painted mine yet, but the only thing I plan on doing is to wipe it down with alcohol.

When I got mine I just painted it. Did not do anything fancy. Been good for three years.

I just wiped mine with a lint free rag and painted,worked great. Just make sure your hands are clean. No grease! #ad

I used denatured alcohol, but regular alcohol will do... .

I ordered Mopar interior spray paint from the dealer which was an exact match for my agate interior (code LAZ Part # 82201399).

Cost was $8. 00 and they got it in two days. It is great. A perfect match, easily done.
