Nope, not gonna happen. I thought I needed to keep mine, but after I put the triple on I don't miss the handle at all.

I have a tripple in my 08. I have never missed the grab handle at all. In fact I have hit my head on the grabe handle getting in to my truck before I put the tripple gage pod in.

Thanks guys. The issue I have is that my wife and my dad drive my truck from time to time and they really need that grab handle to provide assistance getting into the truck.

The only one I've seen with the handle is just the single guage SRT-10 mount. It does work well and looks great as it's a factory piece. I use a standard triple gauge dash mount for the remainder of the gauges.

I used the SRT-10 a-pillar mainly because I like the factory matching piece and being able to keep the grab handle. I put a dual gauge exhaust temp and boost. I would really like a fuel pressure gauge, but not enough to mount something that doesn't look factory.

Thanks, I like that idea of two guages in one, while still being able to retain my factory grab handle. Which online vendor offers the best deal's on this SRT 10 a-pillar?

Geno's is a great vendor. Along with the pillar they also have the Westach combo gauges. They've always treated me well and customers service is second to none.

X2 on what scooter said... . Genos seems like a great place to get stuff from. Until I saw it in their mag, i didnt even know using the SRT-10 part was an option. .

They seems to really use and test the products they sell, that helps ALOT!

Why not use the dash mount that has 3 . I wished I had easer to see at night! you don't have to take your eyes off the road.

In looking through the gauge mounting options at GENO's Garage, I see ... .....

1) Steering column dual set-up

2) Pod that fits up around headliner close to rear view mirror.....

3) Pod that fits on top of dash... ...

I have two wheel drive w/o any running bds or steps. I kinda like that pillar handle, so as to lift myself up and then in ... ... ... not dragging over and wearing seat edge... ... .

ANYWAY... ..... has anybody reading here actually installed or seen any of these above gauge locations. Cosmetically appealing ???? and/or hard to SEE ??????

Thanks for your expereince and advice

Just a newbie trying to stylize an ole' truck

Camaro,

I have the pillar and the Geno's three gauge dash pod. My triple dash pod is NOT permanently mounted to the dash. I didn't like the idea of screwing something into the top of the dash (either that or I'm that much afraid of commitment!). My wild ideas led me to get the Geno's carpet dash cover. I mounted the gauges in the pod and ran the loom containing the wires in the space between the windshield and dash. The loom runs to the driver's corner of the windshield then down under the dash. I then shoved the dash pod all the way to the windshield. The dash cover provides more than enough friction on the bottom of the gauge pod and the it doesn't move/slide/vibrate out of place at all while driving, on or off-road. It looks clean, and the gauges are easily serviceable should something go haywire, just lift it out and give the loom a little tug. Plus, you don't have to worry about the perfect texture match between the dash itself and the gauge pod as the pod is just resting on top of the cover. As for vision, there are no obstructions and it's easily readable. Sometimes I do something right.

Bingo on the dash pod. i have it, and i love it. I have it screwed on to the vent cover. it comes out easy and its a solid mount for the pod.

Appreciation to all who contributed to this thread. After reading all of these suggestions I am leaning towards the 3 gauge pod for the dash. One question, does the steering block some of the visibility of these gauges?

No, well, maybe- if you're under 5 ft. tall. ;)
