Dp you guys hack up the original pillar to remove the tweeter mount or do you retrofit the new mount to attatch with out the stock one?

Mine is just velcroed onto the original piece, and it looks great. You would never know. I picked up some heavy duty velcro, and I think I would have a hard time pulling it off. I worked the rubber along the door side up over the edge,and it looks great. Good luck

My stock one is saved . I bought a aftermarket one with tweeter and fastend it with one screw.

I put my factory A-pillar away and used the 1 screw method. Painted the screw head with the same paint I painted the A-pillar with and it looks and works great.

A-pillar

I bought mine from auto-meter. It fastens with little plastic connectors, similar to door panel fasteners. I unplugged the speaker and used a tapered rasp on my die grinder to carve down the tweeter pod on the old pillar. I used the hole to put the wires and boost pressure tube through.
