12 volt electric fans for inside the trailer

Folks,

My 3500 has a shocked pin hitch system. Does anyone know of a way to either adapt, or convert the current pin hitch system to allow me to pull a 2 inch ball trailer without revamping the entire configuration? Is there a company that may perhaps sell an adapter for such a beast?

Thanks

Sorry guys,

I may not be naming it correctly. Its a popular hitch system used by farmers. Basicly, its a flat, steel bar with a hole in it. It is used to tow farm equipment, feed/grain trailers, or hay trailers. If you go to your local feed elevator, you'll see them. The grain trailer attaches to it by a pin (or a post), and you can piggy back several of these carts behind eachother. The "shocked" part is basicly a stiff, shock absorber which buffers any shock from the cart movement from direct contact to the bumper or frame of your truck.

I know the type of hitch you're speaking of, had an old Ford with one. When I needed a 2" ball I just screwed one in with a bushing in the hole to take out the slop.

Illflem,

That was the first thing that came to mind, except it is so far up in the air, the trailer I want to pull with it needs to be closer to the ground. I need to have the ball lower by a foot or so. I guess what I need is some kind of adapter with an "L" shaped drop. So far, haven't been able to find a company which seems to make such a thing for this hitch system which is off the shelf.

Mark, what would probably be easiest in your situation is to either buy another drawbar or get a piece of steel and convert the end of it into a receiver. The shocked type pull bar that you have is expendsive, if you plan on useing it it will be best to find a way around removing it. An extra draw bar seems the best way to go to me, it will have to be custom though.
