Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Pinion Nut size on a 70 and 80

Can anybody tell me the size of the pinion nuts on the 70's and 80's?. i want ta get a couple sockets to fit um. TIA

Went out and checked one of my old busted 70's and it read 1 inch . 310 thousands. Should be 1 5/16. think i used a 1 3/8 six point but it was pretty sloppy.

Did'nt have a flashlight to check my 80, if no one else has posted it i will look at it tomarrow for you

Found out. the 80's are 1 7/8" .
