Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) pins 6 and seven on vp44

I have a 24 valver that will sometimes not start. I hear you can apply a power and a ground to pins 6 and 7 on the vp44. If the pump is good and the problem is somewhere else, it should start.



Which pin should be the hot wire and which pin should be ground. If my truck still fails to start, I guess I will have to bite the bullet and purchase new vp44...
