Pioneer radio with Infinity speaker problem

I installed a Pioneer DEH-P47DH 1-1/2 DIN radio in my 97 and the woofers don't work. The radio store says there's no way to make that combo work without bypassing the amp in the speakers. It might even take some new wires from the radio to the speakers. I think I've read about a way to wire it to activate the amp and make the woofers work. Does anybody know? Is there another aftermarket CD/radio they WILL work properly? Craig

i installed a pioneer radio and hooked the amp up to the power ant feed from the radio. works great ken

I have the same set up as you. Hook it up as Ken said and you should have no problems. Dave
