How could that be you have all those hi tech built in Banks protection devices

thats true must not of protected it all that well well any ways i sent my injectors off to f1 to rebuild them cause they were ALL leaking 4 of them so bad they couldnt test them and the other two were leaking also but not as bad don at f1 said he found some aluminum melted in the #1 injector so thats why i figure the piston is melted or so

Please give more details. Were you pullling when it happend? Do you have a miss. How do you know you melted a pistion. Have you pulled the head yet?

It's none of my business and you probably don't even want to read my opinion but here it is anyway. I don't mean to offend.

You didn't mention in your signature one of the brand names for "black boxes" that I commonly see but maybe the Banks item you mentioned is a tuner (I'm clueless about hotrod parts).

Engine mods that increase the pressure in the HPCR injection system are widely known to cause premature injector failure. The fact that you reported problems with your injectors leads me to believe you do or did have such a box on your engine.

Rebuilding or replacing your injectors while continuing to use a box that increases fuel pressure will be expensive and temporary and from your comments it appears also that you believe you have a melted piston. If so, that will be very expensive to repair.

You may require an expensive engine repair, rebuild, or even replacement if the walls of one or more cylinders are deeply scored by a failing piston.

Are you sure that aftermarket injectors are the correct path to travel?

If you suspect you have a melted piston, the first thing you need to do is pull the head. After that, you will be able to determine what needs to be done. If it is melted, it's going to get expensive.

Yes, pulling the head is mandatory. After that you can dertermine how bad the damage is to cylinder walls. If you are lucky you will be able to just replace the piston without pulling motor..... but I doubt it. Prepare yourself for the worst. My melted piston was caused by a split injector tip. Were the injectors stock?
