Pistons and Camshaft are in More Pics

Got all the pistons in today except #5 because I broke the oil ring in the ring compressor I'll have a new set of rings monday for Cummins.



Also got the camshaft and lifter in.



I desided to spend alittle more money on Allen bolts for the timing cover, oil filter adaptor, and lifter cover.



Also some pics of the oil drain for the H3B .

I remember the ol' broken ring thing. Was doing a top end on an old Yahama 250 Big Bear. Heard this little "tink" sound & something fell on the garage floor. :{

Make sure you RTV that push rod cover gasket on before you install the pump, I had my pump off 3 times before I got it fixed right.

Jim, I coated the block with a thin layer of ultra Blue and let it set up before installing the lifter cover. It and the o-rings and seals in the ijection pump where the oil major leaks this motor had after 168,000 miles. .



Oh yes I forgot to tell you about my injection pump... all the seals and the o-rings have been replaced. A rack plugs has been installed to allow the rack to move further and it has been calibrated to max out fueling by a local shop here in SLC. I'll have enough fuel for these twins

All the pistons are in the gurdle and the oil pan are on and it prutty now...
