 Does anyone know what size socket is needed to remove the pitman arm nut? It's apparently metric and between 1-1/4" and 1-5/16". Because of the high torque on the nut (225ft.#), I need to use the proper size.

My grandson, a diesel mechanic, is coming this weekend to help me install the new T type steering conversion in my '06 4X4 and I need to tell him what size to bring, if he has it. Also any more non-American sizes I might need for the job?

I don't try to remember such things anymore.I just grab the socket that I used last time.I have my origional box in the garage but it had the sbrace on it so it is different and I have the upgrade box with the much larger sector shaft.Maybe this will help. http://infinityline.net/conversion.htm.You will also need a new steering sabilizer and the nut that will fit the stud on the new linkage for the stabilizer

Appreciate the help Bob. Thanks for trying. Unfortunately, the link wouldn't work for me. I assume it was for a conversion chart. I've calculated that a 33 or 34mm socket is the correct one, I think.
