Pittsburgh/SW PA Winter Wing Days

Hey everyone. I think that it's about time we start our winter wing events again. How does Sunday November 14th at TJ's sound to you?



There are quite a few new faces in the area that we have met lately. Hopefully we can get the word out and have them meet everyone. As always, Sara encourages you to bring your wives/girlfriends/both along with you.



Let's hold the first one of the year at TJ's and then try to move them around some this year. Anyhow, check in here for the 14th and give me some ideas for future events.

Weekends aren't real good for me - we seemed to have a good turn-out when we had the evening get-together, maybe try one of those?



As of now, I pass through the outskirts of Fayette Nam along 119 & 70 on my way home every day - although I'm usually driving my beater.

TJ's is located in New Stanton PA which is at the intersection of the PA Turnpike (I-76) and I-70. Specifically, head west on I-70 off the Pike to the first exit, which is approximately a half mile. At the top of the ramp, turn left across the bridge, and TJ's will be on your left. If you are comming from Rt. 70 east, take the New Stanton Exit, which will be just before the Turnpike interchange. At the top of the ramp, TJ's will be directly off to your right.



We had quite a turn out last year at 3 or 4 events. Hope to see you there.

But Jason, I have a serious question for you. Did we change the judging rules for this year without me knowing about it? Is Mike really able to compete for the best in show award seeing how he is the show and shine coordinator??? If that's the case, all the catagories will be wide open.



Here is my best guess at who will win in each catagory...



Best in Show: Reardon (Show & Shine)



Most Environmentally Friendly: Andy "I only smoke at Idle" Sebek



Best Stacks: To me, this one is a toss up between Truckie and CB.



And of course our new catagory for this year, Most Likely To Be Nuclear Powered: Again a clear toss up between Rich and Roland... .

I probably wouldn't have known you from Adam if it wasn't for TDR... ..... small world I guess

Only I, and I alone judge who will win the Show-and-Shine. Therefore I proclaim myself the winner! Bow down to the show and shine co-ordinator! I'm also running for President of the United States because I'm the only OVER quallified candidate! Remember, your vote will count on tuesday only if you vote for me, otherwise you're supporting a Constitutional Amendment that keeps fine establishments like TJ's closed until 8:00 pm. That's first on MY agenda. Second, BAN all non-human powered vehicles under 300hp. The pinacle of this would be the space shuttle at lift off ~ 1,500,000HP, I still feel that we can improve the 0-5000mph ET. Third, stop PennDOT from using gravel mixed with road salt in winter as anti skid. What the heck, ban the road salt too. This also keeps incompetant drivers off the roads and we have more room to do donuts in the snow! Fourth, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network and The Weather Channel will be the three major networks. And Fifth, increase funding for the development of non-exertion labor. Cause I'm tired of it! There you have it. A vote for me entitles you to a high ranking cabinet job in my administration. Not much clout but its a title you didn't have before. Oo.
