All - I've learned a lot by going through all the posts, asking an occasional question. This is a great resource of info with honest opinions.



Been going back and forth, but, went to the dealer tonight and pulled the trigger on an 04. 5 Atlantic Blue SLT SB 4x4 6 speed. I was told 6-8 weeks.



Now, hurry up and wait, right?

Congats. I'm in the same boat. Ordered mine last weekend. I hope 6-8 weeks is correct! I was told 3-4 months. Sounds like the factory is overwhelmed.

I was told 4-8. This week makes it 23 weeks I think. Just about 6 months...

Ordered 12/16/03, due to be delivered to dealer 03/27/04. Others on this forum, like JLockhart have reported over 20 weeks. Seems that buyers on the East coast have longer wait.

I believe you are correct. Ordered mine 2/27/04 and as today, 3/19, status shows that it has been loaded on railcar with a delivery date of 4/7.



No boat involved in shipping to Arizona, maybe that is the reason for delay on East coast.

Ordered my 3500 DRW Laramie Sport 6sp Loaded on 2-14-04, D1 3-5-04, called DC today the truck was built in one day on 3-18-04, currently in inspection. Delivery ?



Can't wait, this is painful but its only been a little longer than a month. I think they are finally catching up from all the BG status holds.

I'm in a similar boat. Ordered 2/21. Insight says KZ (Plant Release) was yesterday (3/18) with tentative unloading from railcar in Rolla, CO on 3/28. Rolla is only a few miles from my dealer and I'm really hoping it might get to them by 3/31 since I have an ep cert. I can use.

I'm Glad I Don't have that problem in Las Vegas here at Desert Dodge they have hundreds yes hundreds of CTD so you can usually find what you need. Call Scott Reber 702-252-6529

What's the easiest way to check status? Can I do it online somewhere or do I need to call DC?



What have you been told re rebates? My dealer said that I'd get what is in effect when the truck is delivered. He said that he didn't expect it to be less than the current rebates ($2500) and said it could be more.

A lot of us that ordered during the 0%+$2000 timeframe were told "sold order protection", but now some dealers have been squirming. There is a thread over on DTR about it. Someone posted an 800 number to call, and dealers backpedaled, and honored it.



I know I'm going to have to "persuade" my dealer to honor it. I'm going in armed with the 800 number.



To answer your question, it SHOULD be whatever is in effect when you ordered, OR, in effect at delivery, WHICHEVER is BETTER.

Please post this 800 number. I asked spacifically when I ordered mine and was told that the current terms(I opted for 2,500/get my own financing) was a lock, no matter how long it took to deliver



He told me the same thing as swexlin said in his closing sentance. The order date sets the terms unless they get better.



I think dealers get extra trucks if there ordered with a customer deposit. Maybe they make that great deal just to get the trucks and sell them to someone else(I hope this isn't true)

I just financed myself with this plan. I ordered my truck Jan 16th and picked up 17 March. Dealer told my I was not eligible but I quickly educated him and he conceded.
