Plastic cover on CTD's w/ auto trans?

I was wondering what is housed under the plastic cover on CTD's w/ 48re? (right under the intake air horn) I have a 6 spd and my truck does not have this plastic cover?



Is that where the PCM/TCM is housed for the 48re?

That is where the rockets come out when someone cuts you off.



Actually, I think all 04. 5 trucks have them. It's a trait of the C600. Looks like it protects the lines that go to the A/C condensor.

It's for the TV (Throttle Valve) cable to run to the transmission. The cable goes down to the valvebody and lets it know how much throttle you're pushing so it can select the right gear, how long to hold it, etc. Us handshakers decide for ourselves .

Oh never mind. I missed the UNDER THE INTAKE HORN part. I was thinking air box.
