Plastic Intercooler

I Have A 05 3500 4x4 With A Plastic Intercooler . Does Anybody Konw If Dodge Is Replaceing Then With Metal Ones In The Later 05 Models . If They Are I Would Like To Know How To Get One.

I believe I read that they are replacing them only if it fails they replace with a metal one but I also recall someone saying they replaced his with another plastic one!



Does anyone know how one could stress the plastic one enough to get it replaced with a metal one I would rather have it replace while I was at home vs out in the boonies or on a trip
