What is the best compound for repairing the winshield washer tank?

CAn it be used while the tank is in place?

Mine has a slow leak.

The best thing to do would be to remove it from the truck so that you can properly clean and prep the surface of the plastic. They make cleaner just for that but if you dont know anyone in the autobody field you might have a problem getting it. You can clean the surface really well with soap and water then wipe it with rubbing alcohol. Get the best two part adhesive that you can you might even try using some urathane grade roof and flashing caulk. Be sure to give what ever you use ample time to set up before reistalling and refilling. Hope that helps.

try a paint supply store ,3m makes a plastic repair glue ,we use this stuff on bumpers and on cars and trucks. . v out the area with a grinder very little. . they have a plastic cleaner to get the oil out of the plastic area you are repairing and put a lite coat on and before it kicks put a nice coat and let it dry ... for 6 hours ,,should work ,,, or call you local junk yard and pick one up may be cheaper than repairing it

I used a 2 part epoxy stick to repair my gas tank on my dirt bike 100 miles from nowhere in Baja.

It lasted 250 miles ! No leaks.

It should work ok

I'd consider this a temporary fix.
