Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) plate or no plate?

i was wondering what would happen if i took the #5 plate completely out?or move it back or all the way forward?right now i have my#5 in the stock place. also i read about gutting the afc. what are the benifits or problems with doing that?also i have gauges and i watch like a hawk. thanks

from what ive heard you can run plateless but it will put certain pump parts at risk. just go forward all the way and maybe grind it down. GSK might be funner for ya.

Running without a fuel plate will not damage any pump internals, but I always use a functioning AFC.

Ive been told that running without a plate you run the risk of the rack sticking.
