Played with a 3G tonite!

On the way home I saw a Ram pull up 2 cars back at a stoplite, couldn't tell if it was a gasser. I turned up the highway ramp and stepped on it, when I got in lane I saw him coming up the ramp trailing a small cloud of black smoke! Game on! He went to the outside lane and was coming up pretty good. I was doing about 65 and just hit 5th. So I reached down and flipped the valet switch and stepped on it just as he went by. He got about 30 feet on me and that was it. We were just shy of 90 when he gave up. When I passed him by my off ramp I got a big grin and a wave gotta love 1st gen power!

Ok, color me stupid but I haven't been able to quite follow the valet switch discussion - can you explain what this does for you?

It cuts boost pressure to the AFC, thus reducing fuel usage.

What's it do to power? I'm always looking for ways to cut mpg (fuel is now 3. 60/gal here) - but I'll be towing a 12K 5er pretty soon.

It cuts power also, but if you need more, flip the switch. If your pump is stock this will probably make it a slug.
