Well i made a little road trip a week and half ago with my 31' enclosed 4 wheeler trailer...
I just thought i had to share this story...
Makes you feel pround to own a Cummins.
Me and a buddy loaded up the 4 wheelers to go ridin for the day and we stopped at the flying j and fueled up before we left and there was another guy there with a Ford 6. 0 going over the mountain pass with a empty 20' we get going and we are about a mile ahead of the ford as we hit the bottom of the hill that is 6 miles up at i think 6% grade(could be wrong), i see him closing in on me fast, we are about half way up this pass at this time and he pulls over into the hammer lane and goes by me and his buddy in the passenger seat and back seat are waving and laughing, so i waved back being the nice guy that i am... I can see he is slowing down and i am catching him fast and as i get closer to him i get in the hammer lane and i let off and slowly get beside him and toy with him a little and make him think that we are about matched side by side, him and his buddies are talking back and forth and keep looking over at us, then i tell my buddy in the passenger to go ahead and wave bye bye to him, so my buddy waves, i downshift to 5th and let the turbo start singing and the Cummins do its magic. Within a mile after being beside the Ford he is no longer insight.
When we got to the top of the pass i figured i would pull over and let it cool down and we could use the facilities. After a couple of minutes the Ford pulls behind us and the driver asks what i have done to the truck, and i said what you see is what you get, it is completly stock still, the look on his face was memorable. This last saturday when i went out to fuel, up he was at the pump on the other side of me in a Brand new DODGE with the dealer plates still on it... . I couldn't help but smile at him...
I asked him what made him decide to go buy a dodge and he said seeing you pass me with a loaded trailer that was enough said... . :-laf :-laf :-laf
