The turbo dtt sold you is a great turbo,I had a non-ball bearing jammer and thought it was great. I would add a box for pressure and shop around and listen to vendors about their injectors snd make your own decision,I have a 04. 5 and with your setup with a edge ez I made 520 hp. As far as the exhaust goes, like a few have already said, remove the cat. converter, add a muffler and be done. Your truck has 4" exhaust and its fine for power I make 748hp through 4" exhaust. I dont know about the rad box,I have seen them but I havent seen the need for it I can 60ft in 1. 70 range.

Not to hijack here, But thats a sub-12 second pass in may book if you can maintain the rev gain... .

Have you got a full 1/4 time yet?

man, 1. 70 60ft time is smoking off the line! Thats gotta be a fun ride in 2wd, haha

I ran 12. 42 @109mph in december when I dynoed in the 650 range,I have been to the track 2 times in the past week to try for a 11. It has not worked out for me. The first trip resulted in a flexplate trashed at the 60ft mark, then this past friday I went back and blew a head gasket. I guess I should have spent the money earlier and bought head studs. I am fixing it tommorrow.

those prices look pretty good on the fass kits. Any better price out there? The 95 and 150 look the same price, any reason to not get one over the other? I am told I only need the 95 for what I am doing now, but any reason to not go bigger?

Going to get the MBRP muffler and the leveling kit also.

Anyone running the valve Wade sells? Pros' and cons'? Wade explained to me today the gains that can be had and also helped explain other areas of working on these trucks. (thanks Wade) Many people running this new valve? Proven?

Hoping for a mid 13 slip and 500+ WHP #'s Then I STOP for now (hopefully) :p

1) got for the 150, dont be like me and have to re-buy

2) Those are pumps only, not to be confused with the full FASS that has filters too

As for the rail cap. I made 604hp on #2 alone, and no rail cap on this truck ;) , FWIW

hey ed, the price you got from me was a fass 95/150 and i belive it has duel filters, different than the ones on that web page you linked up---so if you ever need more fuel its there. :D

whoops - I need to lay off the heavy stuff.

I meant at 604hp, I still had the stock relief valve, and tested it last night - It is still holding w/ no leakage

Hey this is not directly related to the thread but if your round plain city n your wanting to hang out with diesel heads you need to come to the central ohio hog roast and dyno day April 8! don't no if you've heard about it or not but its gonna b i fun day! PM me if you want more info

Thanks for the clarification on the fass kit. Still on the fence. Sounds like it will make more power and better on the rest of the fuel system. Rather not spend that much after what I already spent recently.

The dyno day in C bus sounds great, but the truck will be getting worked on getting ready for the end of the month. Going to be close getting it all done as it is with my busy schedule. Otherwise, I would come down. let me know when there is another one please.

I installed the HOT edge box event thoguh I dont have the other mods on the car yet. I noticed I have alot less boost thatn before at soem points. I also noticed a sort of rattling sound coming from what sounded like the driverside.

Are those 2 issues related to fueling? My guess is I dont have enough fuel, but I dont know.

I did order the fass 95 kit. Is that enough for my new setup or did I goof? I was turned off by the noise complaints I heard about the 150 fass pump.

edge turbo w/ new downpipe/intercooler pipe

edge HOT juice with attitude

intake

MBRP muffler (rest of system stock)

fass 95

built trans

fass 95 enough on level 5?

cat removal a must?

Thanks for all the help. slowly learning.

Yesterday we installed the edge turbo, fass95 pump, mbrp muffler and also a leveling kit. Thanks to Jack and Stefan from DTT for helping me yesterday with some issues. They went out of their way to help and it was greatly appreciated!

everything now done to the truck is as follows:

edge juice w/ attitude hot

Edge turbo/downpipe/I/C pipe

intake

mbrp muffler with stock cat etc...

fass95 pump

DTT trans (all hard parts/TC/VB etc. . )

flexplate on the way

leveling kit

As always, I have questions

-Is 30-31lbs of boost normal with this upgrade? That is all I see now. (stock turbo was 38-39 on level 5)

-I noticed around 75mph, the boost was falling off somewhat rapidly on a few runs on the highway. Not sure why, the juice "warning" wasnt on as far as engine temps or egt. What do people set the engine temp warning on? I have it at 210 and the EGT at 1300. Ideas as to the loss of boost?

-The fass pump was mounted under the bed near the front of the bed, below the driverside winow. It is SO LOUD I prefer to walk than drive the truck. I cant stand it!! Where have other peopel mounted it and what else can be done to quiet it? I wrapped the pump in dynamatt and also wrapped the frame where I mounted it, didnt quiet the pump any. PLEASE HELP! I am sure I am at least going to have to order more hose and start over. :/

The truck seems to have lost power down low, but pulls harder up top. I guess I expected that. Stefan from DTT is going to send me a programmer to help get some low end back.

I have to redo the pump install, add that program, and figure out the top end boost loss. Trying to get the truck in good health for a race event next weekend (we have track rented for another car club)

Thanks for all the continued guidance!!

I found out what the boost loss was. it is the trans at the shift. My truck is shifting at 25mph, 45mph, then 75mph. The shift at 75MPH is very slow and the boost drops from 31-32 down to 26-27 ish.

I did find that once it does shift, I then get about 34PSI from then out and the truck pulls hard. I hadnt gone that quick before today since I had the trailer on the back after doing all the work.

Sounds like I have alot to address if the truck is going to be ready in a week. lol

I still cannot stand the noise from the FASS pump. Not sure what I am gonig to do, but it is NOT staying on the truck if my attempt to relocate and quiet fail. It is as loud as the welden drag car pumps.

Thanks for any advice.
