Archived Please Help !!Need a NV4500 in S.L.C. Ut

We are on the 15 east of Vegas heading to Banning Wy. Pulling StockTrailer. 5th Gear just took a header in my NV4500. Pro Rebuild with less than 1000 mi on it.

1-4 gear are solid, 5th is difficult to go into, works fine once it's in 5th, Until you take your foot off the throttle and back pressure loads up. The she start bucking and jumpin and throws itself out of gear


Please any advice would be appreiceated.

1. Any recommended Shops in SLC that could do a quick R&R.

2. Any place I can by a NV4500 out right.

3. Any suggestions are welcome, that will get us down the road.

You're in luck, one of the best is there. Six States will sell you parts with all kinds of info help, etc. They will also do the job for you if needed. Great people and knowledgable. Warranty if you end up needing it is first rate. If for some reason you want to go out of town, you can't (in my opinion) beat Blumenthals in OK City, drop ship, whole job, parts, warr. (even commercial use) is great.

There are others I'm sure, but these I have personal experience with.

5th Gear

Matt... . Should have read the 1st part of your post. PM me with your phone There may be an easier solution for you on the 5th gear. I am in Ogden for now, you might be able to do this w/minimal help. RC
