Archived Please help Ron Khol-Fusion's widow with Ohio emission law problems getting new tags

PLEASE HELP MY MOTHER in NE OHIO suburb of CLEVE. Ron Khol, author of "Khol-fusion" passed on Sat. 11. I live in AR and we are the ones that got Dad hooked on Dodge Diesels. Poor Mom went to get Dad's famous truck transfered in her name and being in Ohio, they have some darn emission law. Dad;s 2002 Dodge diesel 2500 4wd did not pass the e-check and came up with a message of "g-53. The closest Dodge diesel ******* to Mom and Dad and the place where Dad had work done acted totally clueless abut his message and told Mom she needed another page. Well, naturally she went to the DMV and there was no other page. Please help, in honor of my father and the woman who cared for him through his terrible fight with cancer, can someone call her or me and tell us what to do I, daughter diesel who hauls 1ton of feed in my Dodge diesel 03 3500 at 70 mph can be reached at cell at 870-672-2279.

Are there andy turbo diesel folks there in NE Ohio that can help Mom out? What the heck is this G-53 that the ******* nver heard of. HOw can we get his truck to pass the emission test so it can be put in her name?

This is a difficult time for all of us losing Dad last week and if someones trying to mess with his truck, we may have to send a posse up from AR to finish them off and preserve Dad's truck.

Surely there is a white diesel Dodge knight who can help us out.

i live in nw ohio and have never heard of that. we dont even have emission checks here. i wish there was something that i could do.

Thanks, I called around and found a dealer that sounded halfway reputable and helpful and they will help Mom out. I'll keep a long distance eye on them too!

They are not doing away with E-Check, it will just be free starting next year. We have Echeck here in Portage County and I talked to the gentlemen running the test when I got mine done, and he said he had worked there since they opened and he had never, ever seen a diesel fail. He told me "You're more or less donating $19. 50 to the State of Ohio"

I to am sorry to hear of your fathers passing, dec. 2 of this year was 2yrs since my mother passed so i do know the feeling. . As for the emissions on the diesel, even places down here that have emissions on cars don't even check diesel trucks of any kind... Makes me wonder. . Of course for some reason both of my trucks when i got them titled at the dmv say Gas, don't know why either. .

Hope you get things worked out for your mom...
