well i have know that something was going to go with everything that i have done to the truck. when i am driving the truck and turn hard to the right i will get a popping noise. also when i stop i will get it there as well. if it was just when i am turning i would say its the track bar but i don't think the track bar would make that noise when i brake just when i turn. i may be wrong it has happened before :) . so my question to you all is, could there be more than one thing wrong. i do have the skyjacker 4. 5 lift but i do not think the bushings would be bad in the links yet. the lift has been on the truck for about nine months.

well would this be were both of the noises are coming from or just one and just where are the lower ball joints.

thanks for the help,

trey

Sounds like exactly the same thing I was having problems with, I replaced both ball joints on the drivers side and the track bar and basically feel like I have a brand new truck.

how much did it cost to replace both the ball joints and the track bar if you dont mind me asking and what track bar did you go with.

thanks

I was home from college for spring break and Belle Fourche , SD is not real far only about 45 miles or so from my house so I went to these guys http://www.blackhills.com/lindstad/ They will ship their kit anywhere or you can have an entire track bar shipped also. Total I spent $500. 24 and they had me in and out in about 2 hours. they used the moog greasable ball joints. the top one they have to put a plug in cause there is not enough space to leave the zerk in but if you want to grease it again you cun take out the plug and put in a zerk to do the greasing and then switch it back to the plug, just don't forget before you drive it again or the zerk will get broken off. This also included the alignment and everything. If you get a chance to be in the area it is by far the best customer service I have dealt with in quite a while. The track bar is adjustable and uses a metal seating instead of a plastic one like the factory uses so I feel like it is gonna hold up real well. So far I have about 1000 miles on since they did the work and I am ecstatic, I can drive down rough gravel roads and literally hold the steering wheel with one finger it is so steady.

Hope this helps. and feel free to ask for anything else I can tell you if you are curious about anything!

i ordered the lindstad bar. it works fine. the only thing you have to do is make sure they send you a new boot cause you will tear up the old one getting the bar out.
