I know I have seen talk in the past about problems with the transmission cooler lines leaking now mine have started. I have developed a pretty good leak over the course of the week where the rubber from the transmission cooler meets the steel lines at the front of the engine oil pan. Has anybody replaced just the rubber lines and solved the problem or do you need to replace the steel lines that go back towards the transmission as well. Or prehaps better yet has somebody come up with a better fix.

those quick disconnect lines are replacable from DC. One of mine was suspect, DC gets danged near $100 each for them. Lousy stupid design.

Next time I will use a tubing cutter and cut of the quick disconnect flange on the metal line, and clamp a hose at that point. Heck, it is a clamp on the other end at the cooler anyway. what was the point of making a $4 part a $94 part?

Was there an O ring on the metal tube under the fitting that can be replaced.

don't recall any. these are quick disconnect lines from the refrigeration industry I believe. I would cut the danged steel lines and then get some oil line rated (1/2 inch i. d. isn't it?) line and clamp both ends.

The factory stuff won't leak if it is clean when put back together. there should be a perceptable CLICK when they joing correctly.
