I purchased the truck as is (1999 Sport 4X4). I didn't know there was an security system installed until 9:00pm last night. Somehow it activated. I do not have a key fob for this vechicle. I have an appointment to get one tomorrow at the dealer, however I can't find a way to override the security system. I tried to unhook the batteries and then put the key in to the On position then re-hook the batteries (that is the way it is done on my ford) but that didn't work.



I suspect that the security system is the stock one that came with the vechicle.



Anyone have any ideas how to overide it?

Try this,

After hooking up the batteries, and the doors shut, lock and unlock the drivers door. This works on the Jeeps. .

That did the trick. Hopefully it will still work at 5:00am when I leave for work tomorrow.
