Well, I must say, that Bill, you are a stand up guy. I've learned from you, and although not inline with your talking on TDR,, you sure did go down in style, and a blazing ball of flames.

I about fell over laughing at the edited SP post. Although it was low, and marked the TDR, I don't think anybody as popular, and helpfull as you has left with such a bang.

I've never met you, but by golly buddy, be safe in Afghanistan. See if you can get some more Bbl/Min out of those Diesel Irrigation pumps, and make that place bloom!!

I will miss your posts. Shoot me an e-mail now and then. I am interested in how things go over there. I realize you didn't retire from TDR, but, instead were banned, and refunded your money but in a way, you did retire, you just made TDR make that decision for you. If they hadn't banned you when they did, I think you would still be raising stink. Heh, Funny man you are. I think you've almost gone crazy,, of course you would have to be to go to Afghany.

Good luck bud. See you on the other side.

P. S. Now Behave, somebody as old as you doesn't need to acting thataway. ;)

I have read the old post and why do people keep saying bill is going to Afghanistan? Is that a joke or real? I wish I could read that post where he changed sled pullers post I mean I bet that was funny as hell. Not funny for sled puller but in hindsight that it was done by someonbe else out of anger... . well I would like to see it and get a good laugh

I thought you guys would like to know what lies in the future of Illflem, I may join up myself after my retirement.

" Well I really did it!

Been tossing this around for a couple of months had my interview today.

Call me crazy but I signed on to go to Afghanistan for a year to develop and implement production of alternate crops to replace opium poppies. I think this would do more for the war on terror than a million tons of bombs. Feel like I have to do something to help bring America's reputation back.

Eliminating poverty lowers resentment towards America's excesses.

Professor from Montana St U is putting it together with bucks from the UN(UNESCO). After a telephone interview today the prof said I was more than qualified and really wants me on the team. I visited Afghanistan in the early '70's, liked it then.

Afghanistan actually has a tremendous untapped agricultural potential with the low lying areas having a climate similar to California's Central Valley. They used to be famous for excellent oranges before Russia and the Taliban messed things up.

Diesels too! Much of the project involves installing diesel powered irrigation pumping plants, right up my alley.

Will begin next summer if I decide to go, the prof said I can bail at any time prior to June. I could also join in on the next phase the following June if I'm not ready.

Big decision.

Sort of scary ehh?"

There is more, but would probably get censored.

Let me reiterate what I have already stated:

I think most of you are missing this fact. Bill made demands on Robin. Those demands were not met. He then took further actions on the forums which were unacceptable. His subscription was then refunded. He will not be returning. Out of respect for the contributions Bill made to the site over the years we will not go into further discussion or detail.

The actions that Bill took were not in the political thread that everyone is talking about in here. His actions warranted us removing him from the site. We have stated more in this case than we usually do when we have to remove someone from the site (which has happened ~12 times in the history of the site) which we did because Bill was a part of the management of the site. Out of respect for the parties involved since they cannot defend themselves we usually limit comment. As we have stated several times, out of respect for Bill's contributions we will not go into further discussion or detail. Nothing that is said here is going to change the facts and noone here knows all of the facts except for us and Bill. I am now closing both of these threads as further discussion will provide no benefit to anyone.
