Competition Can you do this on the dyno?

Damn!:(

Been away for awhile and this is the first thing I see:( :(

Hang in there Nowel, we're all pullin' for ya. Best wishes for his family too, stay stong.

My prayers and thoughts are with HVAC. I was just thinking the other day that I should give him a call as I haven't spoke with him in a while. I should have.

I wish there was more I could do for him. Hopefully we see our ole buddy Nowel posting here again soon.

Wow! What a concerned group. I knew this group would gladly help each other out with diesel problems, but this 11 page outpouring is something else. This group really is family. My prayers started as soon as I read the news.

Nowel,

I've been following this thread and have been speechless. :( Not being able to say anything that already hasn't been said. However, I just wanted to let you know that I have always had the highest respect for you from the first time I met you at DTT when you were changing the transmission in the Red Rocket from a 5 speed to and DTT Auto.

May the Lords light shine upon you! You are in our prayers.

Is'nt Nowel kind of young for a stroke? I usually hear about it happening in older people, in their 70's & 80's.

Sometimes age is not a factor. I had a friend in his late twenties who had one while waterskiing. . I know of someone who had a mild one at about age 45.

I also wanted to let Nowel he will be in my prayers. As far as I am concerned, he was the one that started the whole bombing bug here for the 24 valve guys! He did alot of the leg work and let the rest of us know how things went that he tried. I wish him the best of luck on his recovery!!

Nowell,

We have never met but have spoken on the phone several times and i consider you a true friend. You have been great guiding me a newbie into the diesel world. My thoughts and prayers are with you and i wish you a speedy recovery.

Joe

speedy recovery

I have spoke to Nowell a couple of times and always enjoyed talking to him. There is a shot that if you can get it fast enough will block a stroke or that is what I have been told. Prays helps, as I know that first hand. Best wishes Jim

Terrible news. I notice several posts from TDR members who rarely post. There are a number of posts that show fewer than 20 total for that member. Those who don't usually join in are concerned enough to get involved here, as are most of us.

Regarding the offers of help from members... I'm sure that it's not just words. If we can help in any way, please don't hesitate to call on any of us. A broadcast for assistance will bring lots of volunteers from this group, even more so for Nowel. If I can help, let me know. My special skill is flying a plane, but I can also drive, or pull a trailer if it will assist Nowel or his family.

Thanks to Chris and Blair for the trust fund. I'll be sending a check next payday. That's one way we can all help. Here's the address for more information again, in case some members missed it earlier:

The best thing we can do is pray. It does work.

Nowel, we are all pulling with you. Get better soon.

Very sad

Have been following this site long before it became TDR. HVAC was one of my favorite posters. Always doing what a lot of us only dream of doing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
