Rebel, if your question is regarding the grid heater in conjunction with the use of propane. Note that there should be a switch in the cab to arm the system along with another switch that would be boost sensitive. This means that without boost and the arming switch on, you will not have propane in the intake tract. You do not need propane while idling at the stop light.
Brian Roth, while I missed the item you attribute to ynott, propane is covered in NFPA pamphlet 58. Anyone installing propane should stick to the guidelines set forth by the National Fire Protection Association as it pertains to use of LPG as a motor fuel. It covers tanks, tank mounting, hose specs, fittings, relief valves, and etc. IMO one should not pruchase the cheapest propane system while sacrificing safety.
