Please tell me garage clearance height.

In due time I hope to take my 09 mega 4x4 and put a leveling kit and 285/75 R17s on. I have clearance lights. Will this fit in a 7' garage door or do I need an 8 footer?

It'll be close but I think it'll probably make it. My QuadCab fits with about 1/4" to spare with a couple inches of lift, 35" tires and a 7' door.

Go with the 8' door if you have a choice. A stock 4x4 is around 79" high (6' 7"). Remember that a 7' door is actually less than 7' high by a few inches. Depending on your clearance above the door you may need a special low-height track for an 8' door.

Go with the 8 footer - especially if you live where there is a possibility of snow. A few inches of snow will take up most if not all of your clearance on a 7 footer.

Place I'm looking at is a 7 footer. Actually, about 6'11" when open. Just wondering if she'll make it inside...

The clearance on my garage is 6'10" and mine fits with the Lorenz leveling kit, mini-packs, and 35" Toyo MTs.
