4BT same parts as 6BT?

Cummins to Chevy Adapter on ebay

A week ago:

So i got ahold of a 97 Dodge 2500 4x4, auto with a 12 valve of course. It got wrecked in the front VERY hard. I work for an autobody shop and this frame is destroyed along with the cab, box, doors, front axle and most other parts.

Today:

Im working on pulling the engine and trans and related components out for my newest engine conversion project. Im going to be putting this 12 valve in ... of all things, a 90 Nissan D21 Mini-Pickup  . Yes, im very aware of the problems i am going to run into, among other things, moving the firewall, front springs, frame strength, possibly height, and frankly, i dont care. I will shoehorn this darn behemoth into that riceburner if it takes me 2 years.

Just Thought Y'all would like to hear of my sudden loss of sanity :)

Jake

PS: I paid 4 cases of cold Bud Light for the truck, and 50 bucks for the Nissan :D

Your not crazy! Sounds like something i'd do.

PS: If someone would please come and sign my release form so i can get out of this asylum it would be appreciated.

Happy to call you crazy if it makes you happy... . We put a man on the moon, why not a cummins in a nissan pick up?

Read the thread a few down about the Cummins S-10.

You are no crazier than my son..... You guys should never meet.

Hope you own a set of torches :-laf

Good luck

Torches?!?!

I hope i own torches, or my dad ran off with them?!?! :-laf I think i own every tool i should ever need to complete this build. It seems one summer i got the tool sickness, and its continued on since then, i think i own somewhere around 30 big ones of miscallaneous tools. :D Of course a lot of these purchases were originally to build my gooseneck trailer, and for some reason after i got done they just never went away

PS: I think your son and i should definitley meet! That could be a dangerous combination.

Everyy one told me I was crazy to put one in my Scout. Yours is a lot smaller than my scout SO YOU ARE CRAZY. Just told you that to help you along.

It really got me mad when everyone told me I was crazy and that helped me get it done. But seriosly is the frame strong enough? There are alot of other cool vehicles out there to put it in. You will have way more work than I did. The other thing that got my project done was I really needed it for a daily driver.

Don't forget how dangerous things can get with a lot of power. When I had my fuel plate out my truck was really fast. Just like alot of the other guys on the board exept 1800 lbs lighter. It would get into dangerous situations really fast. Power to weight ratio of a Porch with the handeling of a Scout.

Too much power? NEVER!

Oh im used to things that make entirely too much power. Ive driven racecars ranging from 475 to 1000 horsepower, some got the wheels up, some got crazy and pointed at the wall. Heck, ive even driven a go-cart with a GSX-R bike motor on it, that was almost scary.

Cool scout too :)
