Can we have avitars?

When I asked this, they said that they were trying to keep bandwidth down especially on longer posts. Maybe they could find a way to have choice between a "broadband" verison of the site with avatars and a low bandwith dialup version.

Yes! I beleve they now have deployed TDR lite, so mebbe us Cable/DSL folks can have some pics under our names? Oo.

Avatars

There are very few times when we have to say no without soliciting input from users. But since we turned off the avatars, many, many problems have dissipated. So, in this case, the best strategy is to be honest and forthright. We made a good decision to discontinue avatars. We will leave that option off.

I can't stand avatars. They slow everything down, and do they really serve a purpose?!?!
