plow frame, truck frame

are the of the frames on 1st gen's all the same? I know the rear is different and am wondering if I can get a frame off of a late '80's Dodge that will bolt up...

To the best of my knowledge the front of the frames are the same on the 1st gens. I think they might actually be the same from 72-93, but am not completely sure. My buddy just took a plow mount off of a 73 and it bolted up just fine to his 89, no modifications. Getting one off of a late 80's should work just fine for you.

Somewhere in the first Gen's the frame went from 6" tall to 8", but I couldn't tell you what year or model. Seems to me it was the one ton, but not even sure of that. I'll look in my manuals and see if it shows there.
