Trucks starting to age.

Currently I'm troubleshooting a blowing 20A fuse #51. Have the dash apart, cables unplugged, replaced fuse & 30 min. later its blown again. Under hood lamp is in circuit, so tracing that back now. Suspect opening/closing hood is the culprit---wish me luck.

p.s. I realize this problem won't be ID'd by diag tool, but brought that topic to mind, especially when RV'g. Thanks for watching.

Are you asking about a code reader? if you are I use an INNOVA 3130 which serves me will. As for a diagnostic tool such as what Ram uses I think they maybe cost prohibited to the average user of these trucks. I have read where Snap-On; I think sells some sort of diagnostic tool but I do not know much about these.
