2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Strange Signals?

I've been chasing steering issues for a year now and when I can I've made changes/upgrades to the system. Last spring I bought a pump and gear from Chip at power steering services. One of the parts was not functioning right and without question he sent two new ones to me postage paid. He worked with me over the phone and is one heck of a guy. I can honestly say my 96 has never steered so fine and it's a joy to drive again. I've replaced the column bushing, tie rods, dampner, sway bar bushings, gear and pump, and converted to a 3rd gen trackbar. One note, our trucks did not come with power steering coolers and they get hot! I put a B&M trans cooler on the return side along with redline PS synthetic fluid and it stays cool no matter how hard it's worked. I had darrens steering stabilizer on but had to remove it due to my plow mounts. I've finally found the right combination for my truck and am very pleased.

I agree

Chip has always been a great help and he KNOWS his stuff. He has always taken the time to explain to the point I understood not just what to do but why and how it works.

thanks for the info. , I'm going into the shop next week for new springs, shocks and control arm bushings, possibly ball joints, we'll see what else he finds, if I need a steering box I'll try Chip's
