Hello everybody..... I'm new here!

I am going to Bomb my truck and have been wondering which one is better Plug n Power or the Edge EZ?

I understand the Edge EZ gives 5 more HP than the Plug n Power and the wireing is very different between them.

Other than price is there anything else I should consider before purchasing one?

I have ran both boxs. If you are going to keep it simple and just add a box and no injectors, Plug and Power (made by VA). Get the latest model it has the boost module built in. If you go with injectors down the road ther is 3 settings on the EZ. If you get the bomb bug then go with an adjustable box. Contact Fred at www.canyonstatecomponents.com for a great price and excellant customer service. Sam.

I have the EZ and could not be happier. Takes about 60 seconds to install or remove and makes a HUGE difference. I have never tried the plug-n-play.

I have driven both boxes and preferred the VA/PnP over the EZ. It seems ( I have not dyno'd, just SOP) to make quite a bit more power under 1800 RPM, and is just as strong on the top end. The engine also sounded better to me with the VA on than the EZ. The VA was used with a boost module, so max power was basically the same. Smoke with DD1's was also virtually the same with the EZ on the most aggressive setting as the VA. Both are quality boxes, I would recommend that you find a couple of members in your area and borrow their boxes to try and form your own opinion.

I too have the EZ and love the performance it gives. Recently I encountered an oil pressure problem ( sending unit ) while on vacation. I was in Hickory N. C. and had to remove the EZ while in the motel parking lot before it went to the dealer the next morning. The removal was a snap and nobody was the wiser at the dealership. Only problem was that I was leaving for Florida right after the visit to the dealer and was not able to reinstall for the trip home and believe me , you can tell the difference with and without.

Although the EZ seems to be purchased more often, the guys that have tried both in my driveway seem to lean towards the VA. The new VA should be even better. I agree with the thought above about finding local TDR members and testing each of them. If you have a dealer close by, they will probably let ya test them, too.

I do not sell either one... this is just my opinion!

I love my EZ, but if i had to do it over again I would go with the Comp for the extra $100 it's nice to have full adjustability from the cab and also getting to control the smoke.

Besides its nice to be able to have a 130hp at the click of a button and then if you choose you can have less or even none.

Even though I sell both more people that I talk with seem to like the Edge product. my 2cents worth.

I have the VA with a PS boost fooler have not driven a truck with an EZ. But I do know that my combo makes for a great towing setup.

VOID stickers ??

Doesn't the VA require the VOID stickers to be broken for installation? I thought I saw one on my injection pump and quite a few other places. The EZ does not from eveything I've "seen".

I've got the VA and so far so good. Pulling 11k, it sure makes a difference. I don't intend to "bomb" any further than what's shown in my signature. It starts getting real expensive. If I install new injectors, I'm looking at a new clutch. I'm happy just the way it is. :p

:) The VA is the way to go, what a difference it makes. Now about the void sticker my truck rolled off the the north plant ST LOUIS on 01/14/00 one of the first 2001 the void stickers were not put on any of the first trucks untill about middle of may. So if you have the new void sticker on the plug get a friend in the dealership where you got it. Those stickers started the same time the clockspring were changed and now are being recalled. Iwas at my dealership today opened a hood and saw that dam crankcase breather bottle still the same, nice to see that all of you are in the same boat. OH yea get this the dealer told me a customer returned this morming because the oil change they did for him yesterday for free his first one, he did not like the odor he was smelling. personally I love that smell after I change mine the wife does not.
