You won't believe this. When I bought my 5er, the guys told me to put screens over the vent and exhaust of the furnace. I did, but it was too late. Wasps had already made a nest against the fan of the furnace. Dealer fixed it, of course. That was last year.
Yesterday I went and got my 5er to get it ready for May Madness!! I had birds living in it!!! Where the hitch mounts to the overhang (what's that part called?) there are access holes for the wires. They are 2" in diameter, and one has wires going thru it, the other does not. That's how they got in (actually, that's how the mama got there and built the nest, the chicks were hatched there. ) The mama was gone looking for food when I went to pick up the camper, and of course is gone. So I had four little chicks in there. I don't know what kind they are. They have bright yellow beaks, and are gray.
The nest was Huge! I thought when I first discovered it that it would be this little small round thing like a robin's nest in a tree, but it took up a whole section of frame! I had to pull the piece of plywood down to get it out.
So, plug up all those holes!!
