Ok heres the deal just picked up a 887 pump planning on building a pretty heavy fueling pump that'll turn 5k, now what i need to know is what nobody wants to reveal... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: where can i BUY 13mm plungers and barrels... . I'm wanting to do this myself, everything thats been done to the truck ive performed and thats the way I want to keep it. :cool:

Installing the p&b, and then balancing the pump, is not a job for you, unless you have the $87,000 Bosch EPS 815 pump stand. My Bosch guy can do it, and has done that kind of thing many times. . . I don't try to take that job from him :)
 
Jake you know were I'll tell you get get the pump done! Pumps are one of those things I just stay away from, better off letting the folks with the stand do it like Joe is talking about.



Once I sent my pump to I. I. I never touched it again, not one click on the springs, I mean nothing but a 1/2 turn on the idle screw because I have a tight converter.

IMHO if you are going to junk the P&B assemblies on your 887 I would sell the pump and start with a less expensive pump. Sure the cam is different too but if you have 180 pump you should be all set there. Just a suggestion.
 
ive got a good friend that runs a bosch certified pump shop in east texas and he's going to balance it for me I just want to do this so I know how the pump works and whats going on inside... its just the way I am... and the pump already has a stuck plunger so thats why its going to be my project.
