I bought a fass titanium system for my 3500 auto with 220k .tried to follow directions to a t. Truck ran perfect before never any hard start issues . I've bleed line to the vp44 several times .can't seem to get a steady flow from injector line s at head. And now she's got a 0122 code.
My question is will a bad apps sensor cause the truck not to start ? Should I be able to bleed lines injector hold downs with out cranking the starter over and over?

You may just have a load of air in the VP? Loosen at least three lines at the injectors, attempt to start and let engine turn over about three times, stop and pause a minute then do the same thing again. Do this three times then tighten injector lines and try to start. If it starts with lines loose do not attempt to tighten with engine running. bg

Engine will start and idle with no APPS, you just won't have any throttle.

I agree that you've just got a lot of air in the system. If you have a fuel pressure gauge that will help verify you've got all air bled from the tank to the injection pump. If no gauge you have to go by sound, good fuel flow coming into the VP and the lift pump should sound like its under load when all air is purged.

Make sure you are cracking the high pressure fuel lines where they go into the head not where they come out of the VP. I only do two at a time, loosen and crank until steady fuel comes out, tighten and move on to the next two. But nothing wrong with doing as described above so long as you are sure you have good fuel flow coming out before moving on to the next set.

I've had good experience with getting her going after stupid me forgot to turn the ball valve back on (that I installed on the Pre-Walbro pump/filter system) after a filter change, using this method (which I found in the shop manual, or on the TDR, forget where, but it works and without having to crack any injector nuts!): key to "run" position, you should hear FASS cycle for 10 seconds or so, you can also "jog" key to the start position and the FASS should run for 30 - 40 seconds or so, Foot down all the way on go pedal, crank engine over = not more than 30 seconds, if no start let it rest for 2 mins or more to allow starter lead wires to cool, foot down all the way on go pedal and crank again not more than 30 seconds. Repeat about 4, maybe 5 times and she should sputter to life, once it fires let off go pedal, it'll run rough until all injectors get fuel but smooth out and be good to go. Like I said, I found this procedure in shop manual or on TDR = I didn't make it up on my own "I ain't that creative" and it works. Hope this helps. If not you might have a fuel delivery from FASS to IJ pump. As asked by Wayne, "Do you have a Fuel psi gauge?" When you turn the key to "run" or "jog" it you should see some psi on the gauge unless the FASS isn't firing? Hope this helps.

If it was running fine before FASS install I'd bet the problem is with fuel delivery to the IJ and not elsewhere. Although if the IJ is old/weak it could have picked this "most inopportune time" to give up the ghost...

Please keep us posted and good luck!!!

Thank you guys for the help ! I finally got her fired up ! I pulled the new line off vp44 inlet ,and ran it in a bucket to make sure it was bled out . Then reconnected it . I then loosened 4 of 6 injector line hold downs at the head ,while my son cranked the starter off and on till I saw solid fuel flow and no foam .
At that point I 're tightened the lines , told my son to crank her over again and she fired right up . I think 1 of my problems before was that I didn't loosen the injector hold downs enough. Yes I got a new fuel pressure gauge but have not installed it yet . I ordered it the day after ordering my fass but it came about 5 days late . I'm about to start that project this weekend .
