PM3 COMP
I've had the competition PM for about a year now and am very very pleased. Like Chappel will tell you though, it will make some very high EGTs very fast. Plus, I've got DD stage IIs. I've never really honked on my truck with it set over 6. Traction is such a problem anyway, it doesn't seem to help much, plus like others have said, defueling shutter is down right nasty. So, I keep in on 5 or less, unless the competition looks real tough. (Haven't been beat yet).
Since the PM3, I have added 4" exhaust to try to help EGTs. No real help with EGTs.

Piers modified turbo with non-wastegated 16cm housing on the workbench--- I hope this helps, at least some.
As Piers and others have told me though, when racing or just fooling around, temporary (a few seconds) EGTs above 1300 won't kill you. Just don't sustain them.
