Pod???

Is POD the Prince of Darkness injectors, the +55 HP, 105 ft. lb. torque injectors made by Delphi-Lucas. Hah, only took me 6 months to figure that one out. If so, how does everybody like them. I can get a set for $65/injector. Sound reasonable? I have been considering the Bosch 185's but not at 800+ bones. The Bosch 190's are about half that price?? Oo.

I don't have any problems, sometimes you have to drive by the pyro, but I only have to do that if I'm in the mountains

I towed 18,000 lbs from California to Colorado with a set of POD's (and an HX-35/16, but who's counting... ), and that thing just hauled azz all day long. Smoke wasn't bad, power was great. Drove by the pyro and trans temp gauges. Pretty much held steady for several hours with the pyro at 1200*, trans at about 235*, engine at 225* and boost cruisinbg around 10 psi. We were cruising with the overdrive engaged between New Mexico and Colorado Springs, pretty much uphill the whole way as we went up the edge of the front range. Good stuff. I even got the truck to pass Colorado smog by 1% and 199 hp - gotta love that! They'd probably be even better with a set of twins - I'll let ya know in about a year :-laf .

Thanks, I primarily use my truck to tow. I'll be in the market for some injectors within the next 6 months, and can't really decide between the 190s or PODs. I've got several other upgrades to do first...

Dang, Sam. Yer laying a cloud there, buddy. Unless they've gotten a lot stricter in the last 2 years. I had a late 91 that made 29%; obliterated the vehicles behind me. OTOH, Case500D put some PODs in his truck a few weekends ago, and it didnt seem to smoke too bad. He said they were an improvement over his worn stock injectors. To each his own. If you do a lot of towing, I'd stick with the Bosch 190s or maybe some EDMs, though you're getting into some serious cash there- $600 and up.

I put a set in my crewcab a month ago WOW!!!!!!!! I LIKE THEM not a lot of smoke my pump is not turned up mutch yet. Put a set in my brothers 92 couple weeks ago and a 16cm housing big difff there too even with lock collar on fuil screw that will be comming off soon

With the POD's in and my starwheel set 1 turn from the bottom, I would created such a massively dark cloud that people would swear "it's gonna rain" I know have the starwheel set 1 turn from the top and all it makes is a big haze. The power is incredable, but made me get a better transmission setup. It made mush out of the stock aluminum inards.
