Uh, Mark, not trying to mess up your poll or anything, my sarcasm was directed at D-C and not you.
You must have missed all my posts about the steering problems. Some trucks have lots of problems, others don't seem to. Mine needs new ball joints all around, a track bar, and a new steering gear box. Individually, by themselves, those parts are not too expensive, but add them all up, plus labor charges, and it gets REAL expensive. Throw in an alignment on top of that.....
And the truck is only a 2001, practically new. Almost impossible to find aftermarket replacement parts for a truck this new. $217 each for ball joints from the Dodge stealer! And they won't last any longer than the bad ones that are on the truck now.
Enough of us out there with these front end problems, that D-C should do something about it. Most of us are filing a complaint with the NHTSA. One guy posted that he has gone through six track bars !!!!
Should I fix the steering, or trade it in?
