MBRP makes an awesome exhaust but there are more economical options out there. The duals doo look pretty sweet but I'm with Jason..... they'll cost you.

I voted for 5" with a 6" tip, but I have the stock 4" which is str8 piped with a 6" tip. I don't understand the whole dual exhaust out the back on a diesel other than for looks.

I voted for the 5" with 6 inch tip, but If I was going to run a dual exhaust, I would run the Diamond Eye... I heard one awhile back and it sounded sweeeet!!

Yeah I am still undecided. My old truck was stock exhaust, straight piped with 6"x12" slant cut tip at factory angle and looked pretty decent. I am not sure what to do, thats why I set up the poll. :)

4" with the muffler delete S-bend + that straight though muffler.

Stock tail pipe. Might make it a 4" miter cut tip to match the stock look but shinny.

Unless you can't hide the fact that you made your pipe "bigger" with a 4" to 6" tip, you might as well be a ricer and put a big ole wing on the back. IMHO.

And I have YET to see a set of dual that are perfect matched and aligned and STAY that way.

You know, all these new trucks have 4 inch already, all you need is a high flow muffler... If your really going to "up"grade, you have to go 5"... With these new downloaders and pressure boxes, I would just get 5" from the get go... You say "I'm not going to go crazy"... Then you go to the drags, pulls, or shows and then your hooked, you want more power... One thing leads to another and before you know it your pushing 600 HP out of your common rail...

I went cheap. I invested around $200 in my setup. Well, they did mess up and send the $80 muffler part for free so that parts a bonus.

S-bend Muffler delete $80

3 band clamps $33

10 feet of napa 4" exhaust tubing $80 I think. ( have lke 4 feet left

Welding the napa pipe to were the cat was cut off $20 ( I suppose I could of unclamped this, but I'm a moron some times).

Well, before I went with stacks I went to www.bigexhaust.com and went to the shopdiesel exhaust and got their 5" turbo back with muffler delete pipe for $295... That 5" down pipe is awesome!!! I was stright piped before that and after that 5" stright piped exhaust I didn't "believe it or not" have "as bad of drone" as I did with the 4"... It shows 4" pipe for a down pipe on the diagram, but it's 5" down pipe, at least with the kit I got. :-laf

I did the same as you but instead of the s-bend muffler delete I used flex pipe. I sanded and painted the napa pipe to keep it from rusting, but the flex pipe sure is an eyesore. I also cut off the hanger off of the old cat pipe and welded it on to the new pipe.

single 5" on mine with no tip. . it will get a tip once i find one i like [5"ID straight cut rolled edge that will slide completely over a 5" pipe, not just a lap joint]

I had flex pipe in the "s-bend" area. . it was just annoying.

That may be what I get as long as it fits a Megacab. I sent them an info request. Sounds awesome, and a good price too.
